Tebow Time!

Tebow Time! What does that even mean? It means different things to different people, but here is what it means to me. It is about influence. It is about how one guy, one man can influence many. That is really what playing quarterback is all about. It is so much more than calling plays in the huddle, handing the ball off, and throwing accurate passes. In fact, you don’t have to be a great passer to be a great quarterback. Playing quarterback is about influence and leadership. It is about being in command. Tim Tebow has an uncanny ability to influence those around him. It is not unlike what made Roger Staubach, Jim Plunkett, and Bart Starr great. They were not the greatest passers, but they were great leaders.
You probably know, but if you don’t know, what sets Tim Tebow apart is his strong faith in Jesus Christ. I believe what really moves and motivates Tebow to greatness is his desire to, not only influence his teammates, but also influence the world for Jesus Christ. The platform he has been given is immense. He is on the cover of Sports Illustrated again this week.
We may not have a platform the likes of Tebow, but each one of us has a realm of influence. Each one of us has the opportunity to influence others for Jesus Christ. I am praying that each one of us would seize our opportunity to change our world for God’s glory.
